The new tiles - many hundreds of which have been signed by members of our local community - are due to be put on the church roof (over the organ on the North Aisle) in the coming week.
Many thanks to all who have contributed. We have now raised over £2000 towards this.
Many thanks too, to Nicky Harvey who has put a great deal of effort into this fund-raising initiative. She hopes never to see another tile again in the whole of her life...

Over £2000 raised for tiles
I've just heard that we have broken the £2000 mark with money raised from tile signing... There is a great stack of tiles in the bell tower with names and messages on, ready to be put onto the roof.
If you haven't signed one yet, please get in touch. We can sign one on your behalf if you are too far away to do it yourself.

Another chance to sign a tile
If you missed your chance to sign a tile for our roof appeal on Saturday at the fete, don't despair. They will be available for signing in Seal Library, in the High Street (TN15 0AL) tomorrow (Sat 28th, from 10.30 to 1.30pm). Make yourself history as "your" tile is put on the organ loft roof - who knows who will one day read your name next time the roof is repaired! £5 per tile.
Tiles will also be available for signing at church services until the roof repairs get underway.

SIGN A TILE AND BECOME HISTORY!
This autumn the North Aisle roof, above the organ, will be re-tiled. To help fund this we are inviting people to pay to “sign a tile” (minimum donation £5), writing their name on the underside of the tiles. Who knows who will one day read our “message from the past”, the testament we will have left to the love and care we have for this building?
There will be a chance to sign the tiles at the Seal History Group meeting on Sept 9th at 7.45pm in the church, and at Seal Village Fete on Sept 21st. If you can’t get here yourself to sign a tile, we are happy to sign one for you. Please send your name, along with your contribution to Nicky Harvey, Beechwood, Filmer Lane, Sevenoaks, TN14 5AG
